My list of broken things in my house

I am making this list of broken things so I can have it all ready when I call the company Rent A Gent who sends someone to your home to do all the odd jobs and fix things up.

1-My washing machine broke down. Not completely it just doesnt discharge the water so what I have to do with each wash is wait until it gets to spin cycle then open the fron filter and let the water all out into my garage and then the machine will spin.I couldnt take a look at it as today si my wash day just before the housekeeper comes to do ironing tomorrow so I had to do ten loads like that.I will look at the washing machine tomorrow.

2-A week ago my one toilet started leaking so I had to close the access tap and inform the whole family not to use it.I will have to call a plumber early in April.

3-all the latches on my windows need to be fixed. They all have screws missing
4-my kitchen cupboard under the kitchen sink doesnt open properly
5-the kitchen sink is loose and water had made the surface swell up which is why the kitchen cupboard door below it does not open properly

6-some of the windows need to have the grouting re painted or painted anew in some cases.

7-I will just keep adding to this list as I think of them and have at least 20 more items before I phone Rent A Gent. And believe me there are easily 20 more items

  1. dear yvette,
you were so kind to leave a comment on my blog page I decided to check out your blog(s) and was shocked when I saw that you edit an online true crime blog because this is yet another shared trait, I love, and read TRUE CRIME 24/7!! (except when I'm reading books about atheism/separation of church and state stuff) My favorite true crime writer is Truman Capote (In Cold Blood--the best ever) but I like lots of contemporary true crime i.e.: everything from historical, literary TC (e.g.: Devil in the White City, Eric Larson) to the more pedantic (e.g..: Why They Kill, Richard Ressler). My favorite TC writer i think though is Colin Wilson who co-wrote "The Massive book of True Crime"...I know this isn't the right site to comment about this on but i wasn't sure how to specifically comment to you on your other site. This is the site I SHOULD be reading because I am positively HOPELESS around the house. My boyfriend is so neat and i hate subjecting him to my slobbiness sometimes but I'm just such a lazy a-hole when it comes to housework...it's really quite disgraceful. Embarassing. So, that's proof that we're not secretly twins! (btw: I am a twin already!)

  2. Hey Esme
I just got so excited and checked you up again and then got disappointed.Because you have a South African name I thought you were from SA and we could have swopped true crime books but you are so far away. And I really wanted to read this In Cold Blood because I have heard so much about it.Now I am just going to order it online. Also you can make a comment on the true crime blog by clicking the portion which says "0 comments"(lol)and you will have the option to make a comment. Also please become a follower.I dont understand why everyone wants to subscribe via e mail only.
And yes I agree with you bout the housework thing. This blog helps me keep on track with what I promise my readers.I STILL have to roganise my garage and I have a post where you see pictures of my messy garage and then there is supposed to be pictures of a nice clean garage but no,not yet.I have to do this and it is really bugging me.I am so tempted to set everything on fire (but that's my true crime influence)
